Trump Trashes Texas Dem Talarico in Post
that Morphs into Tirade on Gavin Newsom

U.S. Senate nominee James Talarico received the ultimate badge of honor for a Democratic candidate in the USA on Sunday when President Donald Trump unleashed a bizarre attack aimed at him in a social media post that ended as a largely incoherent rant about California Governor Gavin Newsom.

Trump contended on Truth Social that the Republican powers that be let Talarico win the Senate nomination in Texas because they knew it would be impossible to win the seat in November as a consequence of the dirt they'd dredged up and planned to use against him.

"The Democrat running in Texas, James Talarico, turns out to be a FRAUD!" the president exclaimed. "It showed after the Election when he beat Low-IQ Candidate Jasmine Crockett (No relation to Davy Crockett!).

"He's got six Genders, insults to Jesus, only vegan food, was wearing a mask in 2023 and 2024, and is a weak, ineffective guy who we "allowed" to win prior to releasing the avalanche of information we had on him, because as bad as Crockett was as a Candidate, this guy is worse!" Trump said. I believe that any human being running against him, sick, incompetent, close to death, or even a child, would win."

Trump took aim at the Democratic state representative from Austin on the day after he'd claimed that he was happy that former FBI director Robert Mueller had died unexpectedly at the age of 86. "Robert Mueller just died," the American president said. "Good, I'm glad he's dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people. President DONALD J. TRUMP"

The public trashing of Mueller, a highly-decorated veteran who served in Vietnam in the Marines and led the war against terrorism under George W. Bush, sparked outrage across the political spectrum.

"Trump is an abhorant piece of Human garbage," former Republican congressional member Adam Kinsinger declared in a post on X on Saturday afternoon. Former Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele branded Trump as a "vile and disgusting man" who's "petty and pathetic" and has no "no moral code."

GOP leaders and lawmakers in Texas have sought to avoid the furor over the rhetoric he used to degrade an American war hero who drew widespread praise on both sides of the aisle. While Governor Greg Abbott and his allies in Austin have been all in on the Talarico shaming, their silence has been deafening and predictable on the subject of Trump's celebration of Mueller's death.

But after refusing to endorse either one of the Republicans in a runoff in the Texas Senate contest, the president went ballistic on Talarico, who's had GOP partisans here in fear here since he received substantially more votes than the incumbent John Cornyn and Ken Paxton in the March 3 primary election.

Talarico won the primary as the underdog based on independent polls that showed Crockett with double-digit leads. Talarico scored more than 1.2 million votes compared to almost 1.1 million for the congressional member from Dallas. Cornyn, who's held the Senate seat for nearly two dozen years, had 911,051 votes - a 42 percent share of the total cast for eight candidates on the GOP primary ballot in Texas based on the count that was adjusted slightly during the weekend on the Secretary of State's web site. Paxton ended up with 879,215 votes - or 40.5 percent of the total.

A poll for Talarico's campaign that was released on Friday found the Democrat in position to beat either one of the Republicans he faces in the general election. Talarico was up on Cornyn by 2 points while leading Paxton by one in the new Impact Research survey. The polling firm came close to perfection in the primary when it showed Talarico with a four-point advantage several weeks before the election when he beat Crockett by six.

But Trump sees the Texas Senate fight through a very different lens. The president reserved the brunt of his wrath nonetheless for the Democratic leader in California.

Talarico "may be the Worst Candidate I have ever seen, other than, of course, Gavin Newscum who admitted that he suffers from mental incapacity, is unable to read a speech, and is dumb but, in saying "the dumb comment," referred to his audience, and therefore became, in the eyes of African Americans , a TOTAL RACIST - which is probably true," Trump said.

"Gavin admits he's Low IQ individual, which typically is not good for winning the Presidency," Trump said. "His interview may have been the worst ever given by a "professional" politician. I believe, it takes him OUT OF THE RACE. Kamala is back!"

But Trump declined to elaborate on details that might have helped the rambling remarks on Newsom make some sense.

more to come ...
